Ordered it last night!!

I really wanted to get the Millennium Falcon Set, but they sell for £1000 on the bay now!

Anyone want to see a "Build Log" on this?

meh, not "real" lego anymore, far to many specialist pieces moulded for just that model.

I kinda agree with this, it feels more amazing when big displays are used with the standard parts rather than the odd shapes they create to make them especially.

This is a bigger waste of money than that person's football cards. But have fun with your toy :)

I think this will probably increase in value.
The Millennium Falcon Set was released in similar numbers in 2007, and cost around the same.

Second hand sets sell for the £1000 mark on the bay now.

It's going to be fun to make it, and it will be worth a lot more in a few years time!

Buy in. Keep it unwrapped in the box. That shoul annoy enough people.

Great purchase by the way. All you need now is a Lego Death Star to crash it into (and a Lego A Wing to crash into the Super Star Destroyer) :D

I wish I'd got one of the large Millennium Falcon ultimate edition sets when they were released, but unfortunately I didn't have the free cash to do so at the time. :(

I do have the large ultimate edition X-Wing (7191) and Tie Interceptor (7181) sets as well as a still sealed ultimate edition Star Destroyer (the 10030 model, of which there are a couple listed on a popular auction sites for just under £1k ).

Some older lego can be stupidly expensive though. Something like a space lego 928 set from the late 70's early 80's can go for up to £200 and a kilo of random space lego from that era will frequently go for up to £100. But I agree that there are far to many set specific bits nowadays.
