Playstation 2!!! And yes I know I'm about 5 years behind the rest of the world in doing so! :rolleyes:
I was considdering an Xbox 360 but with a couple of games and extra control etc it worked out almost three times the cost of the PS2.

Anyway so I ordered;

PlayStation 2 Console (New Smaller Model) @ £97.99
8MB Memory Card and Dual Shock Double Pack @ £25.99
FIFA 06 @ £29.99
Tekken 5 @ £11.97
Gran Turismo 4 @ £13.97

Im actually quite excited! :D It'll be mainly used as pre-drinking session entertainment so I couldnt really justify paying Xbox360 money and £50 a pop on games. Im quite happy with PS2 as it has all the new versions of my favorites from PS (Tekken 2 was awsome, Gran Turismo and Fifa were supreme!).

Oh oh oh oh I dont want to wait for postman pat to deliver it! :mad:

And for good reason!

However, get God of War, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Probably the 3 best games on the console.
 
I would have spent a bit more and got a 360 core pack with a game :confused:

Or if on a budget would have got a game cube thease are a steal atm

I could understand if you got all that lot for £50 or so second hand of a friend :confused:
 
Nice one m8!. Good time to get a ps2 because Tourist Trophy is coming out next month. It's Gran Turismo but with motorbikes! :eek:

There's so many good games for the ps2 that i'd almost rather buy a ps2 with loads of top class games then an xbox 360 with a couple.

Resident Evil 4 :)

I keep getting tempted to buy a PS2 again (used to own one a few years back) just for Final Fantasy 10 (and eventually 12) and a few other things exclusive to the console.

Games for the PS2 (and Xbox) are much cheaper than 360 games, plus there is a whole back catalogue to choose from. As for the Gamecube, it has a limited selection of games which aren't the same type/as good quality as those on the PS2/Xbox in the main.
 
I think that Fifa is and always will be a better arcade footy game,

but PES is just so much more realistic, i can play a mate and we both end up farting around in midfield for one to grab a cheeky goal, or to be totally outclassed and then nick a winner on the break never seen either of those in Fifa.
