I would imagine that 4x4 is a write off in the eyes of insurance. I hate driving in supermarket car parks on a weekend, sometimes I think people are trying to crash!

I saw an X-type get rear ended fairly hard this morning coming onto the M25, must be a day for crashes!

First reaction is that the Frontera is a write off, no doubt about it with that sill damage. Secondly, expect some reasonable damage under your front bumper. The bumper will have pressed in under the impact and transfered the energy to the crash bar (if there if one on that model?) and then onto its mounting points, with a side on impact like that, you want to get it checked properly!
