I may implode/Photomatrix

Okay, it's probably me being an idiot (evens favourite on this one :D), but I'm playing around with photomatrix and for some reason it's telling me that it can't do anything because "all files need to be the same Height and Width". I'm baffled, they're exactly the same. It's the same image!

Anyone know what the hell it's talking about? I'm waaaay too tired to muck around with this now, so hopefully someone that's used it before will know what I'm doing wrong and post the answer for me to fiddle about with in the morning.

In the meantime here's a sign I saw before and had to take a quite shot of.

Linky

Posted it as a link rather than a shot as it's a poor quality shot I quickly grabbed when I was walking passed. I thought it was amusing. Stupid kids play in fields apparently :D

Anyone know? :(

The only thing I've done is take the original image and made two copies. One under exposed, and the other over exposed. So I've got 3 files of the same image. Same physical size across the board, yet this keeps happening :(

For it to work you have to change the file to 32bit according to the program. So I've done that. Hmm hang on, that may be it. I think the original is still 8 bit. I shall have a nose.

{edit} Hmm, nope that's not it. They are all exactly the same size there too.

Okay I've found that the problem lies with the original. For some reason, it doesn't like that file being used with the under and over exposed images. Weird.

HDRdog

Haha, that shot sucks. I'm actually impressed with that. Not the photo itself, obviously. That's just a shot I had left lying around that I didn't like (for obvious reason) that I've used for the HDR testing. It's brought a hell of a lot of details out that I didn't expect. I'll have to look through some other photos after to see if I've actually got a decent photo it'll work with.

At the fear of approaching Zefan-esque levels of annoyance, Photomatix contains no R within it's name. It's not matrix :p

How the hell did I never notice that?

As for 32 bit files, dont change them to 32 bit - leave all of them at 8bit and see what happens.

I'm having a nightmare typing lately (he says editing this line 3 times). I seem to have developed the amazing ability to randomly add letters where they're not needed. Ace :D

All the files I had were saved 24bit stylee. Anyway, I got it working now. I even figured out how to tinker about with it a bit without reading the manual :D
