i just ran across this pic whilst looking something up and it boggled my mind...

what the hell are all the medals for and just what have these illigitimate spongers done to deserve them ?

similar story... do these people get a medal for each new year they see in ? ive known dictators to have less.
 
i think they get the campaign medal for ever war fought in their time or something, they aren't medals of consequence, no Vc or other true heroes medals.

Also as for the name there has to be the leader of each corder, even if symbolic, now doesn't there.

their medals also take up more room as they where the whole thing not just the ribbon, generals etc would look ridiculous with the amount some have is they wore more than the ribbon.

Also thes "illigitimate spongers " will generate more revenue for the country than you ever will so meh.
 
Well they have Kept Tourists coming and spending all there cash while they Visit you whinging Pomes for a start :p

And it Seems Prince Phillip did some pretty good things in WW2
Royal Navy career

After leaving Gordonstoun in 1939, Prince Philip joined the Royal Navy, graduating in 1940 from the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth as the best cadet in his course.

Commissioned as a Midshipman, Prince Philip spent six months on the battleship HMS Ramillies then serving in the Indian Ocean. In January 1941 he was posted to the Mediterranean fleet aboard the battleship HMS Valiant where, amongst other engagements, he was involved in the Battle of Crete. He was mentioned in despatches for his service during the Battle of Cape Matapan and was also awarded the Greek War Cross of Valour.

Promoted Sub-Lieutenant, and after a series of courses, Prince Philip was posted to the destroyer HMS Cornwallace, where he was subsequently involved in convoy escort tasks. Promotion to Lieutenant followed on 16 July 1942 and in October 1942, he became the ship's First Lieutenant (at 21 years of age, he was one of the youngest to be appointed a First Lieutenant). Whilst with HMS Cornwallace, he took part in the Allied invasion of Sicily.

Prince Philip was later posted as the First Lieutenant of the new destroyer HMS Whelp where he saw service with the British Pacific Fleet in the 27th Destroyer Flotilla, including being present in Tokyo Bay when the Japanese surrender was signed. He eventually returned to Britain with the ship in January 1946. In the post-war years, Prince Philip served as an instructor at the Petty Officers' School, attended Naval Staff College, Greenwich.

Prince Philip has for many years been Commander and Chief of the oldest Canadian Infantry Regiment, the Royal Canadian Regiment. This regiment continues to be the only Regiment in the Commonwealth to be authorized to wear a dead Monarch's insignia, that being Queen Victoria's insignia.

The monarchy gives us identity, they are an asset which brings great money in from tourism etc.

Id rather have royals than all the immigrants:P
 
As mentioned, Prince Philip was very high in the Royal Navy while Prince Charles served in both the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy.

Royal or not, bet those 2 have still done a lot more than most people on here have, without even going into the revenue they create for the country.

Didn't know that but that sounds like one he earned, i was referring to the ones that many royals just seam to have from wars they where not involved in.

I.e they only get one that has meaning if they earned it.

Also i agree, Queeine for PM!!
 
Meh, he Royal, why can't he have lots of medals? And yes, the Queen should definitely be PM!

I would be happy for her to Control us just while Keven Rudd and Labour are in aswell. Just to keep them from ******* up the country until liberal get back in:p:(

Perhaps you should read up on the royals.

Not only do they bring in huge revenue to the uk. We wouldn't punch so high above are weight without them.

They are supremely important in world affairs and securing uk interests and negotiations.
Margaret on her own does over 600 meetings a year. The royals are hugely respected by world leaders and important people. As they don't change they have long toes with people rather than a 4 year tie.

Anyone who thinks the royals do nothing should really put the daily mail down and pick up a book.

And that doesn't include the charity's they run and other tasks they do.

The government should be shot for decommissioning and not replacing the britania.

As for the medals. Many are or where high ranking in the military.
 
Royals bore me, talk so slowly and stupidly with annoying voices, think they are so much higher then the rest when i never know of them doing anyyyything sept once a year sitting infront of a TV camera and saying alod of utter boringness..

I avoid it every year while my dad pretends to be a paton to the country that he sponged from himself..

Glad i dont live with him, can actually enjoy xmas!

Boreeeed.

And no busses out of Denholme infact in the whole of West Yorkshire, be it Forst of Keighley and District busses so... im bored :)

Its because they are Pretty much all action with a tiny amount of talk.

They probably work there arses off much more harder then most people on this forum.

They don't really even have a retirement age!
 
I agree that the Queen should have more power, I dont consider her to be my Queen but the goverment and politians/politics in this state is corrupt to the core, we vote for them to look after us but who watches the watchmen? Lords, Royalty and the Queen.
