I miss my 360 nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :-(

When i got my 360 last year in march it was exactly the same, no games. I do find the need to play my 360 down to achievements though,

Theres a bit of a drought lately.

I borrowed a PS3 from work today to try it out. Although I own a 360, I'm really a PC gamer at heart so I'm most definitely not a "fanboy". These are my first honest impressions: very slick looking machine and very quiet in operation. I had to read the manual to figure out what the PS button was on the controller (I've never owned or played with a PS2 or PS1). The wired controller itself felt awful - as in cheap and tacky in comparison to the 360 controller. I also noticed there's no HDMI cable bundled with it so F1 looked pretty crap on standard TV res in comparison to say the rfactor F1 mod on the PC. I'm sure of course it looks a lot better on hi-res. If I were allowed to swap my 360 for it at this moment in time, I would definitely decline. I'll see if I can get hold of the proper cable and give it another go.
 
I miss my 360 a wee bit - I did want to have a go at C&C 3 on it. But I'm very pleased with the PS3 overall. I'm in the throes of Resistance: Fall of Man at the moment and thoroughly enjoying it.
 
I traded in two of my PS3 games for God of War II on Saturday. There simply was nothing on the PS3 that took my fancy.

There's no way I'd recommend a PS3 as an only console for the time being. There's just not the games and doesn't look like there will be for a good while yet. First game that tickles my fancy is Everybody's Golf in July, then it all looks pretty barren up until Christmas. :(

Same here, i've got/had 4 ps3 games and i've only enjoyed resistance :( so i've found myself playing all the resident evils again and i'll soon be starting mgs again

I highly recommend Ice Age 2. it is a great movie, gorgeous, and all the extra's are in Hi Def too :D

Though saying that i also just ordered the Limited Ed of SPidy 3 from Canada :)

Oh and PS2 games i would recomend getting the Ratchets to play through, i started them again, also Kill.Switch can be had for a fiver and is not too bad.

I am also planing on getting a couple of other older games for my PS2 that i missed first time around. Might get the DMC's and stuff off the bay.

I did exactly the same thing. I now have more ps2 games than i have ps3 games :eek:

I have Motorstorm, God of war 1&2 and Resident Evil 4.

I must say though i finished, God of war 1 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Just about to start 2 now. The games will come for the PS3, the 360 was the same in the beginning.
 
I'll be getting the 360 Elite at the end of the year (Not getting a PS3 due to Sony's treatment of Europe. I'm a bitter swine I know :p ) Hopefully M$ will have sorted out most of the system issues by then.

I always thought the Xbox scene was mostly for FPS lovers, but I done a scan through a games list and I was shocked by the amount of great games available and in development.

Awesome game! Truly has had me in awe in some parts! The later levels that is!

Early levels were dire!

the 360 uk launch had quite a few good games available.

The PS3 has been out since November last year hasn't it? Where ARE all the good games. The buzz is dying fast - the distinct lack of PS3 threads on these boards is an indication of that. They need 'that' big game..and with Sony it seems to always be MGS or GT.
 
Yeah I think the PS3 needs more time to mature, personally I was never bothered by the 360 until recently when they were beginning to bring out 2nd generation titles, a lot of my friends got one at launch and spent more time playing on the PC due to the lack of decent 360 games, or bought everything that came out and played them for a weekend and forgot about them.
 
id love to hear about this "lots of great games on the 360" as far as im concerned the only "great game" is forza2 , gears of war coming close to been "great".

admittedly there no "great" game for ps3 yet


theres still nothing that would make me get a 360 (forza2 soon would possibly be worth it mind)and theres nothing for ps3 i really fancy either


next gen came too early IMO ,if great games are still coming too ps2 im 100% sure the xbox could have been running great games too.

could have brought out the next gen consoles next year with good games at the ready , technology's cheaper , bigger HDDs , cheaper , red lights not flashing. etc

the sales chart show theres a whole lot more people that dont care about fancy gfx than do :(

much rather play some true "great" games on the ps2 or great fun games on the wii than pay an arm and a leg for a handful of good games

Here is the Launch Line up for the 360, admittedly it looks better than the PS3 lineup, however i would not say it was good. Time will tell, i have both the 360 and PS3 and i agree the games available for the PS3 are pretty poor. But they will come in time. I love the 360, and i'm sure when the games appear i will love the PS3 more too :D

I often fall for hype even though my mind says "Don't be foolish remember last time?"

Consoles on launch = pay more and get less.

Wait a few months = Get shakes + Pay less and get more.

yep i swore to myself that at 429 plus 40 pounds for a game it be hell before i got a ps3.

Then saw a ps3 on a website for 303 pounds with resistance fall of man. And when i logged in i got another 10% discount off !!

277 pounds for a ps3 and game, cheaper then the 360 at launch !

Im so glad i waited !

At the moment there are no system selling games for me to justify getting either console. However checking up on the titles currently available and coming this year (For the 360,) it certainly does look impressive when I put them together:

If thats the case, all too look forward too on PS3 is God of War 3.
There is nothing great now about MGS series and Final Fantasy has taken a severe turn for the worse since the Square/Enix merger.
