I need a rotary tool and know that means Dremel. But their range seems to have expanded since last time I looked at it.

I need to cut 3mm aluminium, and some other bits and bobs.

I'm unsure about this EZ Twist, does this mean I can only use Dremel branded attachments?

'Dremel 3000-15 Corded Multitool (130 W), 15 Accessories' is £40 - is that what I should be going for?

(I do have safety glasses too)

do not, i repeat do not buy anything other than a dremel. I was tempted and purchased a draper multitool and its terrible, it over heats and loses performance very quickly. Buy once and get a dremel.

£20 in Homebase right now.

Do plenty of research - and get the right equipment - I've cut 2mm aluminium with a Dremel and its potentially not a trivial task - 3mm might be pushing your luck without experience and the right tools.

I've had it cut already, but may need to make some more small cuts in the top surface. It's actually approx 2.5mm thick.

Something like that, but, thinking about, given that I want all the cuts the same then I might just put it back on the machine rather than faff about with a cutting disc.

I think the Dremel will just be used for much lighter tasks (some grinding, ~0.6mm plate)
