hey guys,

i've currently got a moto v8, and in the past have had sony ericssons (w800, w810, k800) - this is while living in my current house and have NEVER had a decent reception...

seriously, its unusable and i spend huge amounts on my landline to ring mobiles even though i have like 800 free minutes on my mobile...

so my question is... will swapping to one of those old bigger phones like the classic 6310 nokia or something like that help me get a signal... as i'm at the point where i'm thinking whats the point of having a swanky mobile if i just cant use the bugger, i'd prefer and old phone that works fine and pocket the case for the v8...

any advice?

(by the way, network doesnt seem to make any difference either... they've built my house out of solid lead or something i swear to god!)

Solid brick walls?

Most modern houses are built on the cheap, hence plasterboard walls etc

Not much you can do. I have the same issue in the bottom half of my house, which is due to the walls being solid brick.

I'd say try going outside too, might me your house, it could very well be a network coverage problem though, phones don't make a lot of difference.
