I need a good slow paced RTS game.

close combat! the third one is the best

slow real time ww2 game, as it's 2d you can run it on a phone these days (should really try that)

just and awesome slow game which is incredibly deep aswell

Galactic Civilizations II? That's pretty slow as it's turned based and doesn't need a high spec machine to play it either.

Yeah megalomania is good, but its safe to assume that he also enjoys his life. Getting someone hooked on games like is dangerous for their health.

Age of Empires before AOE3 is a safe bet, beyond that look at some of the faster Turn based games.

I have a particular weakness for ARSENAL Extended Power : http://www.tacticalsoft.com/
But its a pretty old game, takes a long time to get into and can easily get into million-commands-per-second online... and its based an a bi-annual subscription.
Oh and its addictive as hell.

Battle Isle the andosian war is the only battle isle that runs in xp.

Fantastic game tho, a mix between Turn based and RTS.

AOE3 is a good laugh. Not tried any of the addons though, supposedly Asian Dynasties is good.

World in conflict is pretty easy without having to do things too quickly. Not sure if that's a slow as you like but it's a good game tbh.

empire earth (first one with expansion pack) was really good. Its epoch based like AoE but it has 15/16 epochs from prehistoric to robots and nukes. Really good game. Dont touch empire earth 2 though, its craaaaaap.

So i went to gamestation to pick up settlers 6. After looking through the small collection of pc games, i couldn't see it. So i asked one of the potheads at the till. Conversion went like this.

Me - "Hi. Do you have Settlers 6 in stock?"
Pothead - "Never heard of that game. What console is it on?"
Me - "Its on the PC"
Pothead - "ohh PC games are soo rubbish but i'll have a look for it....Nope don't have it."

What an idiot. I just went to another store and picked it up there. Last time i go to gamestation.

Picking up Asian Dynasties today for AOE3, hoping it will add another aspect like Warchiefs did. Though Warchiefs decided to make the game ridiculously hard, lol.
