I need a name for a character.

I've been racking my brains for the past few days thinking about a name for a female character. (Writing a screenplay for uni)

The character name I have been using for working is Mo (been using Mo Mowlam for a likeness to the character)

So I want a name that can be abbreviated from her real name.

Example: Annie = Annette

The women is strong, independent and treads all over men.

Please help before my brain explodes all over the wall.
