So i plan on upgrading and this is what i wanted to run:

intel Core i7-4790K Socket 1150 'Devils Canyon'
MSI Z97 Gaming 9 AC Intel Z97 (Socket 1150)
Sapphire HD 7950 Boost 3072MB PCI-Express
Corsair AX860i Digital 860W Full Modular
BitFenix Shinobi Midi Tower Case

Then looking into i found out that this might not be the best.I plan on using it for gaming is there a lower series of I7 i could run that would be better? Any ideas on how i could make this system better?

If you are just gaming, then an i5 is fine. You would only need an i7 if you were doing things like video rendering/editing etc.

Have you bought any of the components yet ? If not do you just need the parts listed ? Oh and what is your budget :)

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte Z97X-SLI - Devils Canyon Core i5 4690K Bundle **£14 Saving** £254.58
1 x EVGA SuperNova G2 850W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £99.95
Total : £364.13 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Something like that would be fine for gaming. The 850W is a bit overkill for a single gpu, but it has a 10 year warranty, and so it should last you through any upgrades as far as gpu's go. It will run 780 ti SLI or 290X Crossfire for example with ease.

If you only ever plan on running a single graphics card, then a 550W would be enough.

There is also cashback offers on motherboard/cpu bundles, so the above would qualify for £22.50.
