Hi everyone, can you guys please help me out with some advice for headphones? Thanks to all of you that have helped me in the other thread (RE: Headphones under £60) but I’ve changed my mind and I’m looking to get something around – ~£100.
Headphone main uses ranked in order from biggest to smallest are:
1. Music listening
2. General audio listening from audio/video sites
3. Listening to the audio of movies/videos/live streaming
4. Gaming listening
5. Some other use(portable audio listening)
Locations headphones will be used ranked in order of frequency are:
1. At home (through my desktop pc-in January I’ll be getting a new setup)
2. At the university’s computers and library
3. Some other place (on the trains, underground)
The most significant reason I’m buying new headphones is to listen to something while I’m studying because there’s a lot of noise at home and at the university’s computers and no noise at the library, hence, I’d really prefer a type of headphone that eliminates or minimizes outside noise/sound and keeps the sound coming from the headphones from leaking out to some extent. I would definitely like to get a type that is good quality for music as well because when I’m not studying I’d just like to Jam and listen to the music for pleasure.
I have a few ideas and intuitions but they’re just guesswork. Now you guys can take over and help me out please.
