I Need some new cooking knives

Pans are the next thing on the list for rebuying, i fancy completely repacking out the cupboards as all the current utensils, pots and pans are all from when me and the missus first got our own place 2 years ago (so basically asda value stuff)

I'm going to end up making my mum jealous at this rate lol :p

Slicing vegetables. Especially big or hard vegetables. Makes life so much easier.
Aye, I don't think I'll be rushing out to buy one though. I perhaps don't get through enough suitably big and hard vegetables for it to make much of an impact on my kitchen life.

I've a small skillet made by them which I've found to be pretty decent. If you're after something non-stick I definitely agree.

Knives come under the preverbial you get what you pay for.

There is no reason why a quite expensive set should not last you a lifetime. My parents - chefs by trade - gave me their global set and there still amazing after 15 odd years.

I'm a big Global user. Now got 11 of them. Ranging from 12" chefs knife down to a ittie paring knife.

The ones that get the most use are the 20th Anniversary 15cm ones (I've got 2) and the 15cm forged.
