I am going for an am4 new rig (I am replacing my old intel pc).
I finalized my decision for a ryzen 1700x. I decided for this cpu over 1700 for power consumption when it is overclocked reasons and that I don't overclock much. I may use the onboard boost thing to make my 1700x run at 3.8ghz and that is it. Ryzen 1700 eats more power when is overclocked.
I need some advice with the cooler. I wanted a ready water-cooling solution but I read numerous of articles and user comments, everybody avoids that for the known risks and limited use. Then I found someone suggesting a somewhat cheap solution for a Rasa 750 RS240 water-cooling, but the official eshop is closed and I have no idea where to find easy to install water-cooling solutions. Never done that before.
I also search for air cooling solutions and since I love my new rig to be white or black and white in the looks. I decided for a Phantkes ( PH-TC12DX CPU cooler ) white version. I think overclockers UK list that item as silver.
The new problem I found my country does not have this item and amazon uk does not post this item or the only one person that sells that item via amazon, does not mail outside the UK. Italian amazon does not have that, the same applies for denmark, etc amazons.
So I have no idea what to buy as a cooler for 1700x cpu. Overclockers UK posts items into Greece? Any suggestions? I dont like noctua and stuff because I want it to be white L O L. Noctua is silver+black+brown
All the equipment will be accommodated inside an NZXT 340 ELITE tempered glass black and white, or Phanteks p400 black+white OR temporally inside a HAF XM (thats my old case till I decide which case.
