Hey,

So I'm starting to get into messing around and making funny sounds with Reason and Ableton. I bought a Axiom 61 in March and I have been enjoying it other than still having no idea how to use it in anyway other than a keyboard. I prefer messing around with short samples but triggering them is a bit of a bore.

So I'm after a new toy basically. I was thinking about a Akai APC40 but I think I will wait till I get a better idea of Ableton. So the other thing which would let me mess around with samples and effects on the fly is a Kaoss Pad. So I'm pretty tempted to order one tomorrow but I'm thinking maybe if I really wanted to get into music then maybe I should hold off and buy something else first? I haven't got a dedicated soundcard yet but wouldn't have a clue of what I would need in a sound card for music. But really if I was using the Kaoss Pad on it's own I could just plug it straight into my AV amp.

I dunno. Pointless buy because I have the cash or something I would have a lot of fun with?

I owned a Kaoss Pad KP3

To start with it was a lot of fun, very tactile and looked great.

However I found the effects were quite simular to eachother and was dissapointed with not being able to tweak the effects, especially for the price tag, it was way too limited but had real potiental to be so much more.

After the honey moon period I found it to be a waste of money gathering dust. 6 months later I sold it!
