Hey,
So I'm starting to get into messing around and making funny sounds with Reason and Ableton. I bought a Axiom 61 in March and I have been enjoying it other than still having no idea how to use it in anyway other than a keyboard. I prefer messing around with short samples but triggering them is a bit of a bore.
So I'm after a new toy basically. I was thinking about a Akai APC40 but I think I will wait till I get a better idea of Ableton. So the other thing which would let me mess around with samples and effects on the fly is a Kaoss Pad. So I'm pretty tempted to order one tomorrow but I'm thinking maybe if I really wanted to get into music then maybe I should hold off and buy something else first? I haven't got a dedicated soundcard yet but wouldn't have a clue of what I would need in a sound card for music. But really if I was using the Kaoss Pad on it's own I could just plug it straight into my AV amp.
I dunno. Pointless buy because I have the cash or something I would have a lot of fun with?
