I need to level a character! NOW! Suggestions?

Hi,

I'm looking for a new A/RPG to play, not online though as my net sucks. Something where I have to level up my character, get new skills/items complete quests and so on.

I have completed and excelled in making a good character in the following:

Oblivion
Torchlight
Diablo 2
Titan Quest
Sacred 1 + 2
Legend Hand of God
Dragon Age Origins + DLC
Drakensang
Fallout 3
Mass Effect 2

Any ideas!?

Yeah BG and NVN would keep you occupied for months...

Fallout 1/2 (inb4 Tefal)
Deus Ex (in a way)
Kings Bounty

actually want your character creation/development to mean something rather than just being a god like jack of all trades.


Plus you can play in a huge variate of styles, you can complete the game as some total bad ass killing everyone and taking the **** in dialogue.

(remember though this game doesn't hold your hand start calling the sheriff a pussy and threatening him and you will get shot in the face and have to fight half the town)

Or you can go the polar opposite and through stealth and good investment in speech skills (plus being smart and choosing the right dialogue options) you can finish the games without firing a shot.

There are high ress patches out now too so you can play them in anything up to 1920 and beyond.

Fallout 3 is a pale shadow of the former games :(
 
Borderlands, The Witcher, Mass Effect, and if you can get hold of them, Final Fantasy 7 or 8 (the FF's will last you a looong time if you do all the side quests - probably around 100hrs each).

Also you could look at the Stalker series
 
Bloodlines is a great game but I wouldn't say the focus is overly on levelling, it's more about the storyline and characterisation.

Maybe have a look at KOTOR (although some might argue the above could apply to that too!)
 
Play through Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 with add-ons from start to finish with one character, importing your end-game character from BG1 into BG2. Use the Tutu mod to play BG1 in the BG2 engine. Do not play any other RPGs until this is complete.

Then go and play Planescape Torment, then Fallout 1 and 2.
