I now own a 5 Series BMW. now with pics

Evening chaps,

Took a lovely 99T BMW 528i SE in part exchange for a very reasonable price.

Soooo I bought it

Pics to follow tomorrow after I've given it a good clean and polish.

Plans to mod it :

Replace fronts and Rear headlights with facelift ones

Sport Wheels

Sport front and rear bumpers

Lip spoiler

Light window tints

Anything else I should consider guys?

- have you got any pics of it? That sounds like a decent line up of mods. Remember, the Stereo is pap, so consider factoring in an ICE budget - there are however some cheap quickfixes which work well.

Oh I have a Sony CD Changer with an adapter thingy on it, and it doesn't work.

Any ideas on what I should check?

Or am I pressing the wrong button on the stereo?

Its the business radio and I press mode hoping it will change to cd but it doesnt.

Yes, you press mode. What does it say when you press the button? Is the changer definately plugged in - does it make a noise when you insert the cartridge?

Howdy,

I have just updated my 97 e39 to the new lights. I am still too lazy to take some pics, but it was a very easy job.

The adapter thingy on the cd changer is probably the "interface" to the rest of the car audio stuff. I have the pro business audio and to get to the CD I press CDC. If you have no CDC option, then your stereo can't see the CD changer. Could be any number of things - start with the fuse on the cd changer itself.

you need to make sure u have the correct interface for where it goes into it and make sure that the cartridge is in correct mine goes in 2 ways on the alpine but only 1 way is correct.

Got the cd changer working,

All I did was unplug it and replug it back in.
