i/o backplate..

Does it matter if the I/O backplate is touching the usb connecter ?

I've just put quite an old motherboard into an akasa zen and the usb port's are slighty off and when i connect a usb plug into it the backplate touches the connecter.

As long as its not shorting you should be fine, you can always use a bit of electrical tape to be safe.

It shouldn't matter, the important parts are internal(the motherboard part is known as a female connector) so I wouldn't worry about it unless it either doesn't boot or you can see sparks
