I Partridge, We Need To Talk About Alan

Oh yes:)

Does he actually read it as Partridge? I have listened to some of it and don't really hear it myself, it just sounds like Steve Coogan. I much preferred the book tbh.

Yeah he reads it as Partridge, though not as strong as TV Partridge, I found it funny because he started as Coogan and then as it goes on (its 7 hours) , he kind of drifts more and more into Partridge :)

The audio book is amazing!

Put it on the phone and listened to it every day on the drive to work. So clever how he references the audiobook itself, by saying "now if you're listening to this... xxxx"

Did anyone else find it weird how he never mentions Lynne by name?

I have finished the audiobook now and it does improve as it goes, I would still say I much preferred the book though(for the brilliant footnotes if nothing else).

I really noticed listening to it though what someone said earlier about him never mentioning Lynns name, there is a bit where he is gorged on Toblerone and he is calling out for help and he is shouting "MY ASSISTANT, MY ASSISTANT!!":D

Been doing a lot of travelling of late. Many an hour sat on the motorways laughing like a prat to this, audio version of course.

Still waiting to see if I got a ticket a week or so ago. Was laughing that much I didn't see the police van with camera on the motorway bridge until to late.

Is it not on itunes over there?

I'm caught in no man's land at the moment. Can't buy from UK stores because my IP address is in the US, can't buy from US stores because they detect my UK credit card. Need to get a bank account sorted soon.
