hmm my post takes like 3-4 seconds before the windows bar part comes on
screen. im using an asus am2 board.

i'm using a DFI LanParty SLi-D board, windows installed on a raptor and 2GB of ram... POST is a between 2 - 4 seconds long same as you, but having POST last half a second like it does in the above video is just maddness...
