I really love guiness! Anything else you recommend?

You could try a few porters such as Fuller’s London Porter.

The Imperial Stouts I’ve tried are a little sweeter than Guinness in my opinion. Lidl do one as part of their Steam Brew range that I really like. You best bet is find a really good off-licence and try a few.

Guinness Draught is horrid.

Guinness Original or Foreign Extra is where it's at. If you can get Guinness Antwerpen, even better [but it's rare].

With Guinness Foreign Extra, bear in mind there are two varieties, the Irish and the Nigerian, and they taste different.

If you want to level up further, get into imperial stouts.

Actually quite common to have Ribena (or blackcurrent) in Guiness, Guiness and Black.

Also quite common to have Guinness with a top of port in it.

and the Nigerian, and they taste different.

The used to (probably still do) market Guiness as "medicine" in Nigeria which is a reason it is so polpular over there.

Draught Guinness is better in the UK now that it isn’t brewed in Ealing using recycled Londoner’s ****.

Agreed.

Maybe 10+ years ago if you had Guinness in Ireland is was sooooooooooo much better than you would get in the UK, now there is no real difference, that being said I think the qaulity of the Irish brewed stuff has declined a bit over the years.

Best pint of Guiness I ever had was in Dublin airport of all places, probably heading towards 20 years ago, unlike anything I have had here. I have been over to Dublin in more recent years and I dont remember it being as good.

.... I prefer IPA though lolololololololol.

Used to do it here, too. "Guinness is good for you" promotional stuff.

In around 2000, when I was a student and worked part time in a supermarket, I remember an old dear coming in to buy some Guinness because her doctor had told her to!
