Like I just wanna order my parts. My PC is useless for gaming Q6600, 2gb, 8800GT (Died so using 6800). I mainly game on my PS3 and 360 but just wanna upgrade my PC and start enjoying high resolution AA gaming.

My question is do you think it's the correct timing to upgrade. I mean Intel won't be releasing their new CPUs anytime soon. Same with Nvidia?!

How about the memory?

Since your most likely running DDR2, I wouldn't put much money into it. If you can spare some cash for another 2GB:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Kingston 2GB (1x2GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C5 667MHz Single Channel Memory Module £23.99
Total : £26.96 (includes shipping : £2.48).

I can't blame you for not wanting to shell out, may be worth looking at a popular auction site or a popular highstreet exchange shop for some cheap deals. I've seen DDR2 going for only a few quid.

If you had a budget, what would it be?

You could always upgrade to an i5k? CPU, Mobo & RAM would set you back £300 ish and it would be perfectly capable of gaming for a good number of years.

My budget would be around 450

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £179.99
1 x Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7850 OC Windforce 2X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £149.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £79.99
1 x GeIL Black Dragon 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (GD38GB1600C11DC) £35.99
Total : £457.36 (includes shipping : £9.50).

You wouldn't need to upgrade for 2-3 years with this. Maybe throw a 7950 in in 8-12 months time.

Edit: I've not included a 3rd party cooler as it would be out your budget, but if you did want one, here are some recommendations:

YOUR BASKET
1 x BeQuiet Dark Rock 2 CPU Cooler (Socket 775 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / 2011 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2) £45.98
1 x Xigmatek Aegir SD 128264 CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775/1155/1156/1366/2011/AMD AM2/AM3/FM1) £37.99
1 x Prolimatech Panther CPU Cooler (Socket 1155 / 1156 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2) £32.99
1 x Alpenföhn Brocken CPU Cooler (Socket 775 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2) £32.99
1 x Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler (Socket 775 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2) £26.99
Total : £188.94 (includes shipping : £10.00).

Thanks a lot mATE, I def would rather buy them all together at the same. So Everything looks good except I would rather go with the nvidia equivalent, what would you recommend?

To be honest, the comparison is not great. While nVidia have things like Cuda, 3D Vision & PhysX, ATI are better value for money over performance. You'd need a decent 670/680 which are well over priced when compared to the ATI equivilent:
YOUR BASKET
1 x KFA2 GeForce GTX 670 EX OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £275.99
1 x Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 WindForce 2X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £179.99
Total : £467.38 (includes shipping : £9.50).

Definitely go for the ATI over nVidia for the level of card you're looking at. Cuda is all well and good if you do 3d rendering or take part in Folding@home, but when it comes to mid-range bang for buck for gaming, ATI wins.

Looking at your rig, the Q6600 is mismatched with the GPU and RAM. The Q6600 was way ahead of it's time, and would have been bottlenecked by an 8800, never mind the 6800 you're using now. The priority should be upgrading the GPU, but the CPU can wait until the next generation comes out.

The Q6600 is a great CPU, overclock it, get the 7850/7950 and find yourself 2/4GB of DDR2 on an auction site and you'll be fine for a few months, at which point Haswell will be out and you can spend £200-250 on a nice new-gen CPU, motherboard and RAM. Upgrade complete.

Guys can you just tell me if this motherboard supports IDE as my hard drive is IDE:

Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard

IDE is obsolete now and pci slots are going the same way with more and more boards not having any. You are going to need a new hdd as well.
