I really want a PSP...but is it worth getting one?

look up the photofast cr-5400 lets you use 2 cheap micro sd cards for up to 32gb of memory stick goodness :D

been playing it recently. Got FFVII crisis core. Quite good game so far. God of War is pretty impressive (design and graphics) for a psp game!

Only problem i have with the psp so far is that its quite uncomfortable holding it!! This drawback has made me doubt my purchase of it!

re: skype on psp - ive heard that you have to pay a subscription to this to use it anyway? So its not like its free.

Yeah, I've noticed it's quite awkward to hold, there's nowhere for your fingers to sit comfortably. Maybe it just takes some getting used to, will find out I suppose.

Right, might pop off to town to see what cheap games I can get, and hopefully find a cheap memory stick to tide me over until my 8GB one arrives!

Make sure it's a genuine MagicGate stick. Far too many fakes around.

Never had a problem with holding any of the fat/slim PSPs, maybe a little fatigue after a long session.

It's from a certain Jersey retailer so I imagine it will be. Suppose the best way to test is to try and fill the entire 8GB?

I feel a bit lost actually, I have no idea what games are out for this thing or what would appeal to me! I know of a few PS2/PS3 franchises with PSP games so I'm looking at those for now, but I'll have some exploring/research to do I think to find out what else is out there.

Well the pre-owned 64MB card I bought is a dud, PSP won't recognise it and neither will my PC. Also, is it normal for the UMD drive to make quite a lot of noise? Some of the sounds coming from it aren't too healthy, wondering if that's normal or if the PSP is a dud too.

Bit annoyed really, got some games but can't really do anything with them or the PSP itself until I've got a working memory stick.

im just usin an oldish 512mb pro duo mem stick i nabbed from my sony mobile. Tried remote play FF VII and it was ok except everything is quite small so its hard to see items to pick up. The sound on the psp is awesome though :)

Have uploaded a video demonstrating the noise:

Anyone else experienced that, or am I going to be returning it when I have a day off on Tuesday? Wouldn't entirely be a bad thing, noticed yesterday that another retailer are doing the same blue one with a couple of games for £10 more than I paid.
