Further to my resignation letter thread I finally resigned this week. After 20 years in the same company I took the plunge and jumped ship. It's quite scary after all that time. But it still feels good
Similar job - both IT. Just a different company. My current one just took me for granted one too many time. So off to a new one doing same job for more money and a completely fresh start.
I tell you what though, I'm going to have one HELL of a leaving drink
Been here 13 years and that's long enough (and all I've got so far is my wage and 2 extra days holiday and a fake silver pen)
The sooner people realise a company will still be there when they are long gone the better.....
If me and my workmates (all 19 of us) don't do our jobs - our company loses 1 million an hour - but we stilll work for below average wages and have no chance of alternative employment.
So do you think I will be shedding any tears when it's my turn to tell them to shove it......
