I see peoples problem with Vista ..

Yeah, come on back Rackerz! :(

Aren't there always a few problems to iron out with new OS's? I bet XP hasn't always worked perfectly for you with every combination of hardware, I know it didn't for me.

Now that I've learnt all the shortcuts, XP on my lappie feels long winded to navigate around and is starting to look a bit out dated.

Once you get stuck in I reckon you'll stay. ;)

I do appreciate some peoples comments here and not others, I won't mention names. I'm far from an idiot. The reason I posted was because Vista was working fine, I had changed nothing. I had been playing CoD4 for a good few nights before last and now the whole things just gone **** up!

I just strange to me that it decided to mess me around now, when it was working fine. I made no changes, I've got SP1 installed. I'm going to do some troubleshooting later to see if I can dig up something. Like I said I appreciate the help you guys are giving me, I've also checked and my hardware is compatible.

I'll let you know how I get on.

Sounds like dodgy drivers, which hardware and drivers are you using? I have never had a problem with USB in Vista. Been running it for nigh on 13 months now.

strange thing was i hadnt changed any drivers within about a week of it happening, i reckon it was my keyboard (logitech G11) but i was never really bothered about it, actually seen it as quite a nice "security feature" for me lol seeing as it stopped people being able to use my PC when i wasnt there (namely the missus)
