I started a project, and I wish to share it with you.

I stopped at basically too, sorry.
Recording needs work it's a bit bassy, try stepping back from the mic?

Do you have any sweet dance moves?

Would you mind explaining the last part of your comment? I'm confused by the peer review part.

Thanks.

It's always good to get some feedback from a mix of people so get some of the students on your course to comment, even a lecturer or two. The feedback may help your improve your production so it’s worth considering.

btw
you won't pull any girls with a crappy Back To The Future poster on your wall,
find something edgy, artistic and completely unheard of from the 80's

If I kept a diary throughout university it would go something like

Week 1 - this is alright this lark, lots of inexperienced drinkers though
Week 2 - well, theres not much work but oh well
Week 3 - good lord I'm poor

Fast forward to week 12 or something - Oh man, I'm so hungry, I sold some games to buy food, I'm trying to live on mainly rice at the moment and the prospect of more rice tomorrow is pretty sickening, will someone hire me for the love of god?

And then carry on for a while about the same.

Year 2 - woo hoo got a decent part time job, lets buy tonnes of LSD and mushrooms and take up buddhism, basically becoming some sort of weird hippy hybrid. (I'm still missing large chunks of that year)

Year 3 - Well, that was alright, now to get on with my life, lets revisit the idea of a masters/ PhD at a later date.

Don't see the need for a diary for going through university, a lot of people do it.

Some fair points, but a lot of people I know either aren't going, or want to keep in touch with me. Thought this would be a nice personal way to do so.

I got bored very quick, but I don't know/have any interest in you.

If this is for your friends/family, I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

I can't imagine anybody else caring unless you start building roof slides or doing any other crazy things people do at uni (in films only)

I'm not surprised to be fair, thanks for looking anyway. You never know, things might get crazy! :)

I stopped at basically too, sorry.

I'll look into that. The microphone is built into my camera, so it's not brilliant. Sadly no dance moves, sorry. :(

Oh I see! Thank you, I'll see what I can do.

Add some explosions and naked ladies in the background. Then I shall watch!

May get banned for naked ladies, but explosions could happen!

I have a girlfriend who bought me that very poster, so I'm afraid your point is rather invalid, sorry.

Vlog has potential, but yeah, try and tone up your voice a bit try and reach the audience with your voice.

Try and reduce the amount of "basically's"

Body posture, body language - if possible try and spice things up with this (I know it sounds corny) someone who expresses with movements etc could be on to winner. Possibly edit up clips so your not always in the same background during the video or vlog moving about with the camera

This is generally what I have learn from watching people's VLOG's, there is more but can't think atm

Lovely, thank you for the tips. When I talk I always use my hands, however they're never on camera, so I'll look into that.

I'll take everything into consideration, thanks a lot! :)

Okay I've had my fun, serious suggestions now. :)

I think it would be beneficial for you to perhaps pick X topics per vlog and set yourself an amount of time which you will talk about each topic, this way you can keep focus and reduce waffle.

That's a good idea, thank you very much. :)

Oh my word that was dullest thing I've watched for a while.

Sorry mate don't mean to be harsh but either get something good/interesting to talk about or don't bother at all as 3 years worth of those won't be anything to look back on fondly.

Do post production on your video using Vegas. will look a lot better.

I have been doing editing with Vegas, the most recent videos make this more obvious.

I know, don't worry. Working on it :)

So I took everything into consideration. And again, thank you all for the feedback. It's actually really helped. For now, I've taken everything that's been said and done the best I can based on such.

It's probably still pretty bad, and I am going to continue to work on it, so don't worry. At least it's fair to say that it probably couldn't get any worse than it already was, haha!

Just thought I'd let you all know.

Thanks,

- Anthony.

If you like your hair how it is then who cares about people telling you "get a hair cut".

Don't feel pressured into changing your style because a load of keyboard warriors told you so.

Whilst your video blog has no appeal to me (due to my life stage) I think the idea in general could be interesting for others who are looking at going to uni - Great idea - See it through.

Ah, don't worry. 'Twas due a chop anyway. Had it done on Thursday (not that you can even tell :P)

Thanks for the reply. Don't you worry, I'll stick at it. :)

prob best keeping it to friends/family members...

this sort of thing will likely only get other regular viewers if you are a) female and b) hot

About a year ago I had this idea, a very simple idea, a way I could keep in touch with my friends and family once I move away to university. A very easy way for me to achieve this was to produce a video diary which I would upload to YouTube each week, so that they could see my face, and actually know what I'm getting up to.

look mate, the interesting stuff that happens at uni is not the stuff you want your family to know.

This for sure. Mine would be all about doing the whitey, doing fat nameless birds, getting caught in doorways with nameless birds on their knees and various other scummy things to do.
