Join the Mac owners club,

Keep keeep tempting get a Macbook, just the standard 2ghz, 1gb ram,

And upgrading the memory from OCUK.

Also getting it under the Eduction Institute Staff section :)

I will be getting it with lepard and running XP on bootcamp on it :)

Anyone tip me over the edge to clicking order?

If you don't need XP then don't bother running it on Bootcamp.

You will see what I mean once you use OS X for a week or two :)

With screen brightness at 50% (more than enough), wifi on, normal usage (CPU < 50% load) I'd say about 4 hours in my experience.
 
That wasnt a bad guess actually, my MacBook (2Ghz, 2GB RAM) is on 94% charge and the time left is reading as 4 hours 37 minutes.

The timer tends to overestimate slightly.
 
I had never used an apple machine when I bought my first powerbook in 2003.

I'm now on my 3rd OSX machine :)

Best move I made.
