I think so anyway.
I haven't done too bad seeing it's the first time.
So I was able to get this product for £10, I read the page over and over and it suggested it was just a GPS Tracker that connects to your phone so I took a chance for my bikes.
Nowhere does it say you need to buy a Sim and in the questions & answers it says
Q1: Do I need to pay additional product service fees every month?
A1: No, the product can be used for free and will not charge any service fees.

So here's the place I wasted £10 (dearer on that page - https://www.deelyoo.shop/products/magnetic-mini-gps-tracker

I also found this video if you can get Farcebook - https://www.facebook.com/megaaragontracker/videos/2102023416602187/

So have I been done or I haven't got a clue how to use it?

So I could hide that on my bike/car and if they got nicked the APP should show me where it is at no extra cost?
Kind of .. the reason the Apple and Tile products work is that they're part of ecosystems...so as long as it gets nicked and an iPhone/other Tile user is nearby then yes...

If you are on Vodafone you might be able to use OneNumber though I'm not sure on the device compatibility.

EDIT: Probably not included in the device requirements for OneNumber.

The video shows them inserting a sim card. You thought you could get a tracker, a sim card and a recording/recovery service for a one off £10?

C'mon SGF - you're old enough to know better than that!!!

What have you tried to set it up with? Only thing it says is the card slot is for recording, doesn't mention a sim.

Full of fake reviews:

this device already saved my dog once (when I saw that it's not moving so I went there and saw her being cought in a fence and couldn't find the way out).

I purchased it with suspicion of my husband’s activity and thanks for the Tracker I was correct, it was a great device and works amazing, I highly recommend it

2 minutes of Google and you would have seen real reviews ie crap. They are also saying it needs a SIM. The product says no sim, then it talks about needing connecting to your phone and operates on 4G.

Just be glad it was only a tenner you lost :)

Just looked that up, so you want me to be really ripped off using Apple :)
Now I know you'll say "oh, he would say that" but with Tile, you're relying on other people to have the Tile app installed but with AirTags, anyone who's got an iPhone that passes near the tracker will ping its location to the internet. You've got far more chance of finding something that's been lost/stolen using AirTags than Tiles.

Of course, a dedicated tracker with a GPS receiver and a SIM card is the best but if you want something passive then the AirTag is the better option, and cheaper than that Vodafone thing you linked. With that, you have an upfront cost and then a monthly subscription.

Of course, all this is irrelevant if you don't have an iPhone or an iPad.

Yes I know :(
I'll put it down that when I ordered I didn't do my normal homework on such stuff and I had got the death of my Dad on my mind.
Also my tech mind tells me that surely there must be a device that you stick on your bike and track it with a phone without having to add a Sim to it!!

There are but it relies on range. The best thing you can do is make a friend with an iPhone and get an AirTag. Like Feek said, the Tile version is severely limited in that users must opt in.
