I use to have one of these.

I had the Elsa Gladiac version of that card given to me for free by a member of my EverQuest guild, the actual fan had stopped working, but the card itself kept working fine for a year lol.

The GTS 2 was better than the Nvidia TNT2 32MB utter crap card that I was originally using. I upgraded to the 3DFX Voodoo 5500 64MB after that and the Image Quality and colours were far superior and so were the drivers compared to all the crap Nvidia kept releasing, but it was a slower card, you wonder why Nvidias performance was better than 3DFX/ATI, the IQ was crap that's why, it was like cheating.

8800GTX was the game changer in my opinion though, they finally released a card that had the IQ on par and the better performance over ATI.

I still have the Creative Geforce 2 and Thunderbird CPU (mounted on an Abit KT7A-Raid motherboard) Not used in over twelve years but should still be ok.

Very fast rig back in the day.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. :)

I've got a Chaintech GeForce 2 Ultra in its box in the attic - was the £200+ card of its day.

It was about the last green-team card I had apart from the disastrous Gainward GeForce 4Ti which died after 3-4 months and which they wouldn't repair.

My first PC was an Athlon XP2800 with an MX440 and a laptop with a Pentium 4 2.53GHZ and a Geforce Go440.

However,the MX440 was quickly replaced by a TI4200 and a Radeon 9500 PRO.
