Nah it just done it again with Farcry 3. Went a funny colour screen and flashed and went to desktop. No error message. Game icon was on the task bar but couldn't click it.

I think it the RAM. I realized when it was running ok I had XMP turned off and running at normal 1333. But earlier I forgot I changed it to profile 1 to run 1600 and noticed more graphic glitches with it on. So will try a couple of test with it on till tomorrow evening and see how many crashes I get. Then if I get crashes then try with out it on.

Could lowering core clock of the graphic card might help using afterburner? MSI 670 gtx.

Definitely memory in my opinion. Had 3 crashes last night in XMP profile 1 so decided to turn XMP to default and been fine. Also lowered core clock on graphic card by just 15 and memory clock up by 5. Massive improvement.
