I want a typewriter!

Whenever you're at home alone typing you can do the intro to "Music for a Jilted Generation" :)

.... to stop it from falling into the wrong hands....

Was that sample taken from the end of "the lawmower man" in sure it was...

From the intro of music for a jilted generation by the prodigy... 1994 IIRC.

Lawnmower man was 1992... so it's possible. :)

/edit: A little bit of Google trickery, and it seems that you're right! :)

Last journal entry for a while.

I won't let Jobe's death
be for nothing.
What happened to him is
my responsibility.
For some reason, I've
been given a second chance...
so I'm taking my work
underground.
I can't let it fall
into the wrong hands again.
If we can somehow
embrace our wisdom...
instead of ignorance...
this technology
will free the mind of man...
not enslave it.

Speed is of no real concern to me as if i wanted speed, i would use my laptop...just the whole typewriter thing appeals. :)

You're not listening, are you. It's just the idea of it you like - in reality there's nothing good or romantic about typewriters, they're obsolete for a reason. As Lapin said, you'll use it for five minutes and that'll be that. They're clunky, slow, the ribbon gets chewed up and if you make one error on the page you'll end up starting from scratch.

Well that's your opinion....i don't have to listen to you!
Nail on head - i like the idea...so what?

I appreciate your concern about my wellbeing...you're really not happy with me wanting a typewriter are you? :p

That should be "with my wanting a typewriter" [yes, I'm annoying]. Of course you can do what you like, just giving you some blunt pointers.

And it's true, having a typewriter makes you very conscious about how well you can - or can't - type.
