I didn't mind Kasabian on for the first half an hour, but it was a joke when they started switching between the two bands. IMO Radiohead were the biggest headlining act at V this year and it seemed E4 didn't give a dam. It was all about Kasabian

Maybe because they were on the Channel 4 stage?

That might be why.

yes.

Bloc party sounded horrendous on TV.

In reality their sound was pretty good live.

Didn't watch radiohead. Fatboy Slim all the way! :D

Great, jumping around with glow sticks throwing up into a coma  :p

or not?

Lets be honest, Radiohead looking at the videos wasn't the most exciting of things to stand around doing.

A few of my friends were saying how most people were just standing still.

Fatboy slim was fun. No-one threw up and only a few people had glow sticks iirc.

Caught Creep which was good but I wasn't interested in the rest of the Radiohead set. I go to festivals to jump around like a loonitic, not stand there swaying :o

Well you have obviously NEVER seen Radiohead live then - they are awesome and I mean danceable awesome, I have never been to such a high energy show as a Radiohead one, I am 100% serious!

Bloc Party were the best band I saw at Lowlands at the weekend, they sounded rubbish on the TV at V though : s

When I say Radiohead in Wolves, sure there were tracks where people were still, but tracks where people went a bit mental (usually to pre-OK Computer stuff like My Iron Lung :))

I personally don't think actually moshing or something to a band like Radiohead seems natural. They are very much a "stand and appreciate" band - and if I do say so, a bloody awesome one at that. There is certainly an element of energy about them though - it disappoints me to see people here would dismiss them as "not exciting". I guess I'm just pretentious or something. :p

It really boils down to what you wanna do at the festival though, and if you're up for going mental then Kasabian would have probably been a better bet. Personally I think Radiohead are musically so much more interesting but that's just me. :)

Well, from what I heard of both bands on Sunday, Kasabian blew Radiohead out of the water, caught about five songs from Radiohead from 'Just' and ending with 'Creep'. And boy, did they need to play that one.

They needed to play it? Crap crowd then. I saw the Radiohead coverage on C4... National Anthem's driving bass and Johnny on the Ondes Martenot? That's more like it. :p

Also, Fatboy Slim rocks.

Well, watched about 3 adiohead songs, then went to Fatboy slim, which tbh was mental! Best set of the weekend by far, absolutley the loved the "fatboy slim is ******* in heaven, ******* in heaven" and Star69 "They know what is what, But they don't know what is what. They just strut - What the ****?" were quality, as was mixing in Born slippy to the Gorillas etc - awesome work!

Fell out of there after being a complete loon to stumble home when i joined in with EVERYBODY singing along to creep - perfect mix for the evening for me, great weekend (Weston PArk)
