I want this phone - anyone know if this will come to the UK? Casio G'zOne Commando -

It's a CDMA handset so don't hold your breath.

Why would you want it anyway? It's just an average 2.2 handset with a disgustingly large bit of rubber slapped on it, and ... AND ... she keeps calling it a "Jizz One"

I like the rubber slap - I do use and abuse my phones, so I like something durable..

So is the Android 2.2 not good then?

You don't need any 'rubber slap' cases on the defy. :p The simple internal layout + light plastic chassis/case is good enough for extreme drops. (Unless your planning on taking it snorkelling)

Check out the Sony Ericsson xperia active as a smaller but more powerful alternative.

Jizz One :p

Average spec and outdated os with no hope of upgrade = No go.

As regulars may know, I did consider the Motorola Defy and I'm still considering it. Vodafone are offering me an 'amazing upgrade deal' (NOT).. and it looks like it's going to be cheaper for me to switch to SIM only and actually fork out for a new phone...

The good news is that they've said that if I wait a few weeks longer, they might be able to offer the Defy for me at a cheaper tariff..

Still a big fan of the Defy nevertheless, but I just thought the 'Jizz' had plenty of rubber protection to offer - as a use and abuser, I do like to play safe ;)

OK, just to let you all know - I ended up getting the Motorola Defy.. Seems pretty good and it has some very nice features including a lightening fast GPS! I must admit, it looks quite delicate despite it's USP!

The funny thing was that I went up and down Oxford Street yesterday and all the way down to Chinatown to find a case for it. Went into Carphone Warehouse: "Ermm.. we don't have a case because that's indestructible." He's got a point - but having a brand spanking new phone for the next 2 years isn't something that I want to break anytime soon.

Anyway, I'm buying a rubberised hybrid casing for it as well, which should arrive later this week...

I would get the following case:

It is available for around £25 in the UK.
