I want to break my new pc

ok i tried everything and i really mean everything.
I took the pc appart again, removed windows vista and installed xp, made all the possible updates.

Funny thing is once it was all updated i kept getting a nvidia message that the video cards are not getting enough power, I tested the Power supply (1000W) and it gives more than enough power. Anyway funny thing after all the updates it turns out windows XP does not support x3 cards.

Well again to bits and installed Windows Vista where i seen a better performance over all from XP and installed the games all over and guess what? no improvement from before.

So i started, no overclocking, 2x gb ram, 1 x 9800GTX games was a mess at low graphics
installed an other 2gb, no improvement
installed 2x 9800GTX - No improvement what so ever.

Well now i cannot be arsed to install the last card i know its not going to do anything at all.

So I believe now that its either a real motherboard scam or the graphic cards are pure crap.

If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.

Oh btw i installed assassin's creed, i can tell you this thing worked like a bloody 486 if any of you remember them

Swap the Asus Striker II Extreme for an EVGA board for a start, Also what brand of PSU are you useing as TRI will not work with chepo 1000w supplys with split rails, It needs a proper 1000w supply ie a Enermax Galaxy or a PC Power & Cooling supply, Also if your cards are giving you power warning thought the nvidia drivers there most likely broken.

what is the temp or your cpu? some times the cpu slows itself down to stop it overheating any more than it already is........ just a possibility, ive seen in happen before when someone was playing quake 4.

Start-->Run-->MSCONFIG-->Startup
Uncheck nVidia system sentinel. Reboot.

Try a game after that and let us know how you get on.

Tri-sli works on xp and in fact works better than on vista

Drivers for tri-sli shaky. Guy on crysis forum with tri-sli had 4 times the minimum framerate with 171.16 over 169.32 drivers.

http://www.incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=19161

Notice he is running three psu to power the system

However his results of 43.31 av at 1680 x 1050 16AA, 8AF, all very high is very, very impressive.

In general tri-sli gives about 21% increase over dual sli and dual sli is 50% better than single gfx card so tri-sli will only be 80% better than single card.

However my system runs Assassin's Creed fine on max at 1680 x 1050 so there is something wrong with yours with just one card in if it is that poor.

Try running 3dmark06 with just one card and post results so we can compare or even try the crysis benchmark.

You have a fundamental problem with your basic setup and you need to solve that first before even going SLI.
