Hey guys so I've been wanting to upgrade my gtx 780 classified for a little while now as i play at 1440P 144hz. But i'm in a bit of a pickle.

Not sure when to upgrade, it's temping to do it when i flush my system and put new water in March, but i hear that the new Pascal GPU's are suppose to come out around that time or a little after right?

What would you do if you were in my shoes, I struggle on a few games right now such as The Witcher 3 and Star Citizen mind you SC is unoptimised and a few other games.

Do i upgrade now or wait for the new GPU's?

Thanks for the help as always guys, Thanks!

Personally you cannot go wrong with a 980Ti. I've got the MSI 6G and gaming at 1440p and cannot fault it, it's perfect :)

Yeah Snips, The 980Ti was my go to if i am going to upgrade in Feb/March.

So you think i should pull the trigger on the 980ti instead of waiting for the new Pascals?

Do what you want, really.

You'll always be waiting so my advice is to grab a 980Ti now, then sell it when Pascal comes out if it is the rumoured huge jump.

Just get a 980Ti mate, as above you'd be waiting forever for a new card if you kept waiting for the next refresh! Maxwell is the best the 28nm has ever been, a total beast to be reckoned with.

Honestly don't see the first pascal cards being a huge jump, they will likely be the low power 960 replacement before the full fat mother comes in
