I was going to wait until I saw this...

The only problem is EVGA's 8800GTX are not £170, you would be paying a lot more. Have you tried the EVGA step up program? Its said to take a while and also due to the actual step up cost you might aswell sell it and buy the card and end up saving money. At the moment its £252, and in 70 days it would be no point upgrading to a 8800GTX as it would not be a worthwhile upgrade and also you cant upgrade to a 9 series product.

Pretty sure in like 2 months you will be able to buy 9 series through step-up. I think it is very good and 8800GTXs prices will drop dramatically with the rate that the graphics cards are coming out. :P

Says in the terms and conditions last time I looked, you can only step up in the same series of cards.

Well how about getting the GT for now, sell your 320mb card and keep the profits stashed away for the new GPU's that should be with us soon?.

That way you get a good upgrade for now with the possibility of owning one of the new monsters when they arrive :D. You never know. The 8800GT might be good enough for you after the release of the new cards. You never know :).
