I was so close to £18 Million

My dad would have won the jackpot, except he didn't choose the right numbers :rolleyes: Some people look at it so negatively, if you lose, you don't really lose anything (well except for a few pounds :p ). If you win, its a bonus. A really big bonus.
 
My sister got 5 of 6 numbers once. She'd picked 5 numbers that meant something to her but couldn't think of a 6th so just randomly chose one.
After purchasing the ticket and going home she realised that she was getting married on the 18th and should've put that one down as her 6th number.
You guessed it, that was the missing 6th number. :(

so I was closer than you and I never bought a ticket :p :D
 
So in essence, you weren't close to winning the jackpot at all. In fact, you were three numbers short of winning the jackpot.

Congratulations on your £14, though.
 
How unlucky!! Keep playing the same numbers, maybe one day when you try to purchase your lottery tickets you will be short of money and decide not to play that week!

Whist at home you decide to put the TV on and you notice all your usual lottery ticket numbers come out!!!!!!!!!

That's the case of my mother and father in law!!

I've never seen a family so unlucky in my life and they were so gutted after doing the usual shopping they were short of money to buy a ticket!!!!
 
I play LD I never play them same numbers as the numbers could have been played before, I was thinking really hard today at my sisters wedding thinking DAMN, so close to a F360 Modena GT **** :p

Still have the ticket so close its insane. :eek:

It's really not, not only would you be cursed forever and have your home hit by meteorites, you'd be sharing the numbers with so many other people that you'd win about £100 in the first place!

i once bought a ticket on the wednesday and then on the saturday, when checking on the sunday i thought id won saturdays! ut it turned out i did the winning numbers from saturday on the wednesday ticket ..... whats more? usually i do the same number for both tickets just decided a change that week :rolleyes:

I got so fed up of being 1 number out all the time, i did my usual numbers and then i did two extra lines, 1 line with numbers 1 lower than mine and other line with numbers 1 higher lol
