I would like a magic trick explained please.

I reckon I've figured it out. ;)

There's no way the girl could have gone from behind the curtain and into the box in a few seconds. Physically impossible. My bet is the girl has a twin.

As for when the swap between the man and the girl happened. I would say right at the start. There's one point where the curtain on the box comes down and you loose sight of the man's hand for a few seconds. I think that was when the swap happened. Also the hand that comes through the hole in the curtain afterwards looks like a girls hand. ;)

yep, must be. the guy certainly wasn't in the box after the cloth went on it, and just after the woman put up her certain the guy was clearly behind which means 3 people must be there.

as for spoiling tricks, i think it improves them by finding out how they do it - don't insult me by pretending its magic, i know it isn't real, you've fooled me now tell me how.

Can you type it in the same blue as the background or something? Or add spoilers or whatever? :)

From what i can tell, but I may be wrong. The silver cloak is unfolded across the ground, giving a walk way. Which is how the guy leaves the box, The hand is a fake, Its really his hand initially obviously, but for a split second you'll notice his hand gets covered, which is when he'll make the change. And then towards the end, when she gets in the box, They swap the fake back for her hand. It is all quick, But they train ages to do this sort of thing, you'll be amazed at what can occur in a fraction of a second if you practice it.

I'm guessing thats right, BUT, Maybe its magic, and we mere muggles, just dont get it :(

wannabedamned, I'm guessing that too. The twisting of the hand in the box when the curtain is raised doesn't look natural, so it's clearly a fake by then.

I'd rather have the reveal too - there's as much in the illusion as there is in the skill of performing it - but there's 'the code' and very few magicians are prepared to break it. Fair enough given that livelihoods might be a stake.

Guy gets in the box.. When cloth comes down a double of the girl switches with the guy, (hence the pause in the hand coming through the cloth when it's lowered).

As the original girl lifts the curtain he drops down, grabs the curtain and the original girl drops through a stage trapdoor.

Magic ;)

no way it that a fake hand - even with a hundred million pounds you could create a hand that moves like a human. its 3 people guaranteed.

I cant imagine there's a trapdoor though, That was my only failing with that sort of conclusion. Its hard for them to sort those sorts of tricks, in an environment they dont own\organise.

A double would be a possibility, if there was somewhere for her to go. initially she could have been holding her weight at the back of the box, while the curtain is still there. But after, the box is clear, and no one see's the girl leave. Also, ant and dec appear suprised, and they're watching sideways on

Its not moving atall about half way through. At the beginning yes its human, at the end, yes its human. But if you watch, theres a point where its essentially clipped to the top of the curtain

hmmm when the hand grips the rail there is a camera shot change - it could have been switched then and the editing has made the trick go faster than it really did. after the hand grips the rail it could be fake. but without extra time there is no way you could do the trick with a fake hand. we need a non edited single camera shot really.
having a fake hand would solve the problem of hiding a third person behind the box while this is all happening - possibly it could be done with mirrors but the final shot of ant and dec is a side on shot and nothing can be seen - but this shot could easily have been changed.

Very much doubt there's a third person.

I'd say the "things to look out for" are:

1) You never see confirmation of the rear panel being secure (hint!)
2) The short delay from when the front curtain gets put on, to when you see his hand poking through

Just my observations ;)
