I would like to issue a challange.

wow so many responces lol, with regards not wanting an internet phone i just dont use it, i use my phone for phone calls and texts nothing more im like an old man with it lol. I had an all singing all dancing one a year or so ago and could'nt stand the touchyness and never used to net on it (i've better things to do lol) decided on the nokia 301, like the look of it nice and clean with a decent couler screen. Think once that one gives up the ghost i'll have no choise but to goto a touch screen :( At least i can prolong it as much as poss :D

It's just we can't believe you're a member of these forums but don't like smartphones!

I've actually just decided to give in and try one again :) Looking at the iphone4s sony xperia z or the samsung s4. Cant justify more than 37quid a month and there the only ones in that price range. Love the look of the sony one tbh but whats the better phone? My main thing is realiability and quality over funktastic features, the samsung ones got so many pointless features on it i dont know where to start lol

EDIT: Oo or the lg nexus4. Bought my other half the nexus 7 tablet for christmas last year and its pretty good so one would asume the phone to be good too?

I have 4s. I won't be upgrading for some time. It's a great phone. Really good reception and good contact management. Easy texting.

Along with Internet, email, tv, radio, and anything else you can think of. I've had a play with a 5 but I prefer the feel of a 4s. Just feels better built.

I've been a touchscreen user since 2005 with the Sony-Ericsson P910i (and later the P990i). Both had a flip-out physical keyboard, allowing you to choose which input you preferred most to get the best of both worlds. Might be worth considering one of those if they're (or updated versions) are around.

I believe that Blackberry still have some physical input models.

However, I've been a happy user of an S2 for 18 months and will get the S4 soon (or the Mega).

Does OP not have an old 3310 laying in a drawer somewhere? Doesn't everyone? Those things will survive Armageddon.

Nexus 4 is probably the best value of the phones you listed, you can get it sim free from Google then get a cheap sim only tariff.

iPhone 4S is probably the easiest to get started with as iOS is better out of the box.

Depends what you want, I'd have a play with them in a shop first if you can.

Get the Nexus 4. It's cheap enough that you can pick it up sim free, and therefore won't be tied into a contract and decide to sell up.

He's making a lot of sense. As you might end up going back (using them in a shop is one thing, everyday is a different experience) this would be the easiest to get out of and lose the least.
