Return the board under DSR, distance selling regs. Just inform OCUK and return within 7 days.

You can return under DSR (but the return P&P will have to be paid for by you - I believe) or simply wait for the returns procedure for Foxcon boards to be worked out.

Best ask OC (webnote) for what they say.

posted in the RMA forum section, got a reply, gave him my order number so he can put forward the RMA, dont know any of the procedures so i guess ill have to wait and see whats what.

Nice build though yes :)?

Going to buy a GTX 460 in about a months or so time :D but for now it will be running on the integrated GPU on the cpu until i can afford the graphics card.

I suggest DSR because it will be much quicker and needs no justification. It comes off the order so would be a refund. Can get any board then. P + P would be about £5 plus insurance.

andy.

I received the order today :D but anyhow, so i just inform them, post it off neat and tidy inside a box and get my full refund from my order which i placed? only thing i dont really know is if i can get a B3 Revision mobo for sandybridge for £80, which is what i paid for this foxconn one :/

EDIT: This is the cheapest mobo B3 Revision, at £105, and its a P67, so i cannot use the integrated graphics, so this mobo is a no go. - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-167-MS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1906

Other than that a H67 board B3 Revision will set me back £129

B3 boards are at a premium just now. Prices will fall as more become available. But yes £80 is cheap and I do not know if they will fall that far so quick.

But there will be quite a queue for RMA B2 boards and I have not seen Foxconns response to the B2 fiasco.

B2, i thought there was only B3 :D, hopefully it gets sorted soon, pointless me building this pc, with a potential issue with my mobo, to just wait till it disintegrates and i claim under warranty :(

Sorry yeah the B2 chipset revision is the faulty one, which you have, the B3 is the replacement.

Ah i see, cant be bothered in paying another £50 or so to get a revised board, will have to consult other options, and its hard to convert to a £105 P67 board, as i need to have the integrated graphics so i can use it until i get the 460 :(

You said you won't be building for a few weeks right?
By then OcUK should have stock of more H67 boards, theres a Gigabyte board which is only about £85 which they have listed but not got on sale just yet. thats only £5 extra.

If you don't want to, then just make sure you use the Sata 6Gb/s ports for your HDD and Optical drive

Point taken, but i think to be safe as its my first build, i will RMA it and get that Gigabyte you have suggested.

Cheers.

Be careful, you can RMA for a fault to the retailer, or direct to Foxconn for replacement when they get it set up for the revised chipset.

You can return it under DSR without any specific reason as long as it is within 7 days, you get a refund and you can buy any board to replace with.

An RMA is not a refund, you get the same type of board with the new chipset or possibly a better board upgrade from the same manufacturer.

I think im keeping it.

Talked to a bloke on the Sales Team and said would i be able to RMA it, he asked what components id be using, and he said i should stick my dvd rewriter into sata port 1 or 2, and then the other port for the HDD.

Alls well :D But i think the revised Foxconn boards are end of march april time, for anybody wanting to know so.

Cheers for all the help, sadly no one commented on the sweetness of the build, only my RMA issue :(

Am I right or wrong..I always thought that the main HDD on C: should always be on SATA 1 port, not the writers. Please correct me if I wrong. Sorry to hijack your thread

How can I find out which SATA ports I'm currently using?

Also bought a b2 board, asus p8p67, not knowing the b3 revisions where out a few days after ;/

TBH it's pretty poor that sites are selling faulty boards at all, regardless if it's a major fault or not.

Why are the faulty boards still up for sale when there are b3 boards available...

Shameless companies targeting the unsuspecting!
