How can I find out which SATA ports I'm currently using?
Also bought a b2 board, asus p8p67, not knowing the b3 revisions where out a few days after ;/
TBH it's pretty poor that sites are selling faulty boards at all, regardless if it's a major fault or not.
Why are the faulty boards still up for sale when there are b3 boards available...
Shameless companies targeting the unsuspecting!
To be fair, OCUK have clearly highlighted the problems with the mobos so, no one is being ripped off - there is also sufficient info out there for potential buyers to realise that there has been problems.
No one is forcing anyone purchase these mobos - most people are accepting that a problem exists and are willing to take a chance - but, the mobo will be replaced by all the manufacturers in due course so, no one is losing out other than in time by having to swap the old board over for a new one at some point!
For those who only use the two 6 Gb SATA sockets, it's not really even an issue!
