i3 bundle ordered help needed

- CPU: Intel Core i3 540 3.06GHz @ 4.40GHz
- Motherboard: Asus P7H55-M/USB3 Intel H55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
- RAM: Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel
- Cooler: Akasa Nero S CPU Cooler (H70 Upgrade available)

Just ordered thanks to Stulid/cookehs help yesterday.

Is there a problem with that being 4.40ghz any risk of damage/explosions? Ive been told from friends it's very high

That is a strong overclock. However if it has been brought from OCUK then it is stability tested.

Make sure you use decent brand PSU.

If you do have any problems it will be upto OcUK sort them out in the warranty period.

Also,make sure you check the voltages under load too as the maximum for the Core i3 540 is 1.4V:

Shouldn't explode and there shouldn't be damage as long as its stable and not consuming a stupid amount of voltage or overheating

I got 400-500 watt PSU, so it should be alright i assume? And it comes with a good cooling system

The system will work fine, like already mentioned use a quality PSU and you should be all set

What is the make and gpu are you using.

Not sure, already been using it for past year or 2 on my current 9800 GT, really not sure, how can i check without opening the case

you need to open the case,there should be a sticker stuck on to it stating the make,amps,wattage etc.

Wasnt a sticker I'm not sure but it said something like 210-230 Volts

in a way tht the psu doesnt have any labelling or stickers.

Indeed. You don't want to go buggering up that nice little setup coming your way due to a cheap PSU. You want solid dependable juice to that rig, especially with that overclock.

Wont cost too much to get something decent.

Well i've found 600W Storm STORM-600W Black Edition, 23dB, 120mm Silent Fan, Black, ATX12V v2.0.

Literally all i can afford. Is that a good quality PSU? And will it do the job? Thanks

couldnt seem to find any review on that psu, will try harder later if thts ok
