Okay guys I am in need of a comparison here.

i3 4130 3M cache - 3.4 GHz

VS

i5 4440 6MB cache - 3.3 GHz with Turbo Boost

These processors will both run a 1GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 645

As the title states this is for gaming, looking to play COD Ghosts, Day Z, some indie games and some RPG's.

Case, power supply, motherboard? Have you considered self build at all? People on here can help with advice. That GPU is really quite anaemic, so an i5 would be pointless tbh, unless you plan on upgrading fairly soon, thus making the GT645 pointless too :p

It is an Alienware X 51 so I am not too sure, for my first gaming pc I am happy to buy a self build for hassle free and to see if I like it. So I am not going to go all out, I may upgrade the GPU on the X51 but that is really it

Avoid. If you're going to drop serious coin with money no object and get the top end models, I see the point in Alienware. For a mid/low end system, self build all the way. You're paying for the small form factor and the badge, upgrading it will be troublesome.

That card is pants though, not much faster than the 8650G built into AMD Richland APUs. It will struggle with anything more demanding than Source engine games at acceptable levels of detail and resolution IMO

Just a side not, I am coming from console gaming, I don't want 100 FPS, Ultra settings, everything AAA at a crazy resolution. I am happy with 40-60 FPS on an average res and High settings, as long as it looks better than console

The Geforce 645 really isn't that good though, certainly not compared to the new gen of consoles. At this sort of budget I would really be looking at self build, you really could get a much better spec machine for £600 if you DIY it. Loads of people on this forum will gladly give you advice on the best components to pick and how to assemble the system.

You could even get ocuk to build one for that price that would probably be twice as good. I would self build though, its miles easier than you think.

If you buy the alienware I guarantee you'll regret it.

I was shocked when I saw the price of the optional extra upgrade to an R9 270 on the alienware website, over 50% more than the cheapest card on OCUK!!
