Hi guys I'm looking to build the misses something for gaming would an i3+rx480 be ok for lounge gaming on a tv

Save money and get G4560 for £65... beats the i3 bunch for almost half the price...

A hyperthreaded Pentium G + GTX 1050 Ti might suffice (that GTX 670 in your sig should have about the same performance as a 1050 Ti). And getting that Pentium G would free up more budget for a GTX 1060 or RX 480.
