System config:

Intel i3 4130 3.4Ghz Haswell
TeamGroup 8Gb (4gbx2) PC3-12800 DDR3
MSI B85-G43

I have no idea what I'm doing so would like some help. Even if I can manage 100mhz OC I will be happy as long as I don't have to increase the voltage to keep the temp down.

Is it just a case of changing the FSB a few notches to get to 3.5Ghz?

The cpu is multiplier locked so yeah the only overclocking option you have is upping the Bclk. 103mhz will give you 3502mhz , keep going up by 1mhz at a time and run a prime stress test.

Pretty much trial and error.

I havnt a clue on msi boards,i cant see anything in those screenshots, should be fairly simple to adjust the bclk

maybe someone with that board can chime in

go through each bios setting and change it to manual and see if anymore options crop up

your looking for cpu or fsb/bclk it will be set at 100

if you exit without saving it wont alter any settings, then just adjust the bclk if and when you find it
