Hey just wanting to know if there are any issues from swooping out an i3 duel core cpu to an i5 quad core cpu? Is it just a case of taking one out and replacing with the other and installing the fan then booting up the system again? Never done a cpu change before and dont want to damage anything... The mb is a Gigabyte H61MA-D2V Intel H61 (Socket 1155) DDR3

Al just be using the stock fan that comes with the new cpu bud, do they come with the paste too?

Yes they do. And you won't have to change a thing... 1155 socket boards are ready for every CPU stated as 1155 (unless it's a z68 board in which case for Ivy you would need to update your bios)

Cheers bud al have a run through those :) just 1 more thing would a have to change anything else after the cpu like changing the ram or does that not matter or interfere with a cpu change?

as above^^^
for the change, there are loads of guides out there
may be a different socket, but basics are the same

Superb thanks for that :) al defo give this a bash soon and hopefully all goes to plan... Thanks again lads much appreciated!
