Even then, not much of an upgrade for the money. You will not see any real improvement in games :/
I'd wait until the next gen and see how that is tbh. Unless you want to go up to i7 or an X99 chip. Plus it's quite likely that dx12 will give old kit even more life.

Save your money and wait for someone to release a cpu that makes upgrading worthwhile.
