i5 3570k @4.3ghz - Worth a upgrade to Kaby Lake?

So you're saying that their test is effectively pointless?

Well it's interesting...but if it doesn't resemble real-world scenarios then it doesn't tell you much. For example, an i5-6600K might have significant improvements in their tests but that improvement might be negligible in a real gaming PC of that spec.

If ya running something like sli 980ti you wiuld probably notice some big improvements.

Running something like a single 970/290 wouldnt be worth it.

I'd say no point in getting the i5 7600k, but the i7 7700k would be worth it.

Also you will be able to look at AMD Zen in the same timeframe, so may turn out it's worth getting the 6-core AMD Zen, rather than the i7 kaby lake.

Yeah maybe. It would be remarkable if Zen lives up to the hype. Unfortunately I don't think it will though, do hope I'm wrong.
