i5 @ 4ghz bundle only running at 2.8ghz

Hello Ringo,

thanks so much for your reply. OK I will try that! is there a specific location in the BIOS where I can find these profiles?

regards and thanks

Hi again,

F12 just takes me into a boot menu (select boot device).

Del takes me into the BIOS, but I have looked far and low and cannot see any ocuk profiles. Looks like everything is set to auto!

regards

Do you see an option to load the profiles though? If so are any of them filled or do they all say unused (Or similar)?

If I were you I'd just ring OcUK, they'll help you out over the phone.

Ahhh I found the profiles! I didnt realise you had to press F12 once inside the bios ( how embarresed am I).

Looks like im now running at 4010.2MHz !! :D:D:D:D:D

Idle it is sitting around 49c, and when I run Super Pi around the 70s.

Strange thing though, there is this strange sound like running water when I run super Pi? Is that the cooler?

I did yes, the cooler was sealed in its box, where as the mobo/ram/cpu was all setup.

The cooler was a bit fiddley, but not too difficult to fit !

I must say though, I just ran prime 95 and the temps rocketed...

im sure superpi is only a single threaded benchmark, run intels linpack or a good 15mins of prime95, come back with your load temps :)
