But your comparing i5 to i7. OFC there will be a difference.
Compare with a 2600/2700k and it's a different story.
Thanks, what gpu setup did they use?
2500k vs 6700k BF4 difference: 30fps
2500k vs 6700k Crysis3 difference: 34fps
2500k vs 6700k FC4 difference: 38fps
2500k vs 6700k GTAV difference: 24fps
Quite a large leap them!
Probably the biggest take from this is that minimum fps will be much more consistent on the 6700k compared to the 2500k.
Lol, are these benchmarks clock for clock comparisons? If not they are useless. Most people here will be over clocking these CPUs and a SB CPU will easily outclock a Skylake CPU and at that point the difference is minimal.
sandy bridge in fact does not out clock sky lake, they both clock to around the same speeds.

I'd say it's slightly higher. I'd also say that many people over clocking skylake don't have stable overclocks. My experience with over clocking skylake has been quite unusual.
Hmm. Not sure I've got a 2500k that hits over 5Ghz no problem. I've never seen a Skylake chip capable of matching this chip.
Also for some unknown reason people gimp the crap out of older DDR3 system with 1600Mhz memory and then make gaming comparisons to systems with uber high end graphics cards.
